MONTEVERDEThe community of Monteverde is famous for its Biological Cloud Forest Reserve and above all because it was founded by a community of Quakers in the 50’s. It is a small town located near the entrance of the cloud forest and worldwide known for its efforts in the pro of conservation and its lifestyle centered on its respect for nature. Within the mystical Monteverde Biological Cloud Forest Reserve that is perpetually green, live many species of mammals, reptiles, birds, and an immense collection of insects, as well as species of plants and trees covered in moss and decorated with orquids. All of this maintains this cloud forest in constant activity.The climate is cold and misty. Part of the adventures you can enjoy are the canopy, the hanging bridges, the butterfly museum, an ecological farm, horseback riding and local color with a visit to the cheese factory, an organic coffee plantation, an artesian coop, art galleries, open air concerts, among others. The hotels are seen through a fog and offer cozy rooms and facilities for small groups that in addition to adventure require meetings or a seminar.
