Dear sirs,Greetings from Costa Rica’s National Kata Team; a Karate Do modality that represents combat in form of a coordinated routine based in team work.Our team was formed in 2012, until this day we have participated and been medalist in several competitions around the globe. From Olympic Events (San José 2013, Veracruz 2014 and Managua 2017) to World Karate Federation Events (Pan-American and World Championships, Karate1 events).It’s an honor for us to recommend the nomination of our country as host for the One Young World 2020 Summit.In all our travels, we’ve had the chance to visit and learn for a large amount of different countries and cultures, so we are sure every nation has its own virtues to offer for those who visit it. Our country is no exception to this rule.Costa Rica is a country full of adventures, culture and nature; is one of the top countries in ecologic sustainability; environmental protection and clean energy generation; it’s home of more than 500.000 different species and 6% of the planet’s biodiversity, this makes us pioneers in eco-tourism, receiving almost three million tourists each year.Naturally, by bringing the One Young World 2020 Summit to Costa Rica, you will be giving the chance to all participants to experiment beautiful activities, visit museums, coffee and milk farms and sugar mills; all nearby the Central Valley region, close to our capital city. They will also be able to enjoy amazing white sand beaches, panoramic views of our mountains and active volcanoes with natural thermal rivers and wonderful waterfalls.Costa Rica is also a country full of talent, the youth in our nation has developed in the last few years a burning flame inside them that inspires them to search for excellence in their endeavors; developing great artists, musicians, athletes, entrepreneurs and a lot more people passionate for different arts and sciences.Our country has surpassed numerous times the world happiness indexes, obtaining the highest scores in wellbeing and life expectancy.
